This program contains over six decades of noteworthy sightings that the BOS has been compiling. These records are the sole property of the BOS and have been made available for research and informational purposes only.

Currently, the records span the years from 1960 through November, 2024. The taxonomy has recently been updated to the 65th AOU Supplement. Dates used in the Search page average arrival dates were calculated using this program after outliers were evaluated and removed by Willie D'Anna, BOS statistician.

Use the Search page to look up the taxonomy for a species as well as its average arrival dates, if applicable. To access the full program, BOS members can login with their BOS website login and search the BOS Noteworthy Records and/or run their own calculations for average arrival dates.
